CORZAN® CPVC PROVEN TO BE IN A CLASS BY ITSELF

Corzan CPVC Assigned Highest Cell Class Rating for
Any CPVC Available

 

CLEVELAND, OH – Independent testing shows that Corzan™ Industrial Systems offers the only industrial pipe compound certified to the highest cell classification of 24448 of any commercially available CPVC as defined by ASTM D 1784. Under this classification, Corzan CPVC demonstrates an impact resistance greater than other CPVC pipe and backed by the highest heat distortion temperature (HDT) of any CPVC compound on the market. This new cell class means increased confidence for the end user that the Corzan CPVC system can handle even the most extreme demands of industrial applications and provide long-term, reliable performance.

Higher Impact Strength
Corzan pipe can withstand up to three times the drop impact strength of any commercially available CPVC. This higher impact strength provides additional durability for the safe transport of high temperature corrosive materials.

Higher Heat Distortion Temperature
Corzan CPVC has a HDT rating of 239°F, (115°C) the highest HDT rating of any ASTM D1784-certified CPVC. Standard CPVC has a HDT of 212°F. The higher HDT rating ensures that Corzan pipe can be utilized in higher temperature applications.

Assigning Cell Class *
The ASTM D1784 standard assigns a numerical value (or cell classification) to the test results for each of four physical property tests. Independent testing shows that Corzan CPVC has earned a cell classification of 24448, becoming the only CPVC to be rated this high. Standard CPVC compounds have a 23447 cell classification.
