CORZAN® CPVC OFFERS FIRST COMMERCIALLY AVAILABLE CPVC
FITTING COMPOUND TO CARRY PRESSURE RATING

First PPI-Listed CPVC Compound for Fitting Applications

CLEVELAND, OH – Corzan® CPVC fitting compound is the first and only commercially available CPVC fitting compound that carries a recommended hydrostatic design basis (HDB) as listed by the Plastics Pipe Institute (PPI).

To earn a recommended hydrostatic design basis listing with PPI, thousands of hours of hydrostatic stress rupture data collected according to ASTM D1584 must be submitted for review by PPI’s Hydrostatic Stress Board. The HDB represents the estimated long-term pressure-bearing strength of a pipe or fitting material as categorized by ASTM D2837.

Corzan CPVC fitting compound has been listed with a recommended HDB of 4000 psi at 73°F, and 1000 psi at 180°F. This demonstrates that the fitting material’s pressure bearing capability is equivalent to Corzan CPVC pipe materials.

For more information about the innovative, high performance Corzan CPVC piping system or to discuss a specific application, visit www.corzancpvc.com or call 888/234-2436.
