NEW ENGINEERING RESOURCE LIBRARY
NOW AVAILABLE ON CD-ROM FROM CORZAN™ INDUSTRIAL SYSTEMS |

CLEVELAND, OH – Corzan™ Industrial Systems has introduced a new resource library on CD-ROM to aid engineers in the specification, design, installation and fabrication of high-performance Corzan® CPVC (chlorinated polyvinyl chloride) piping systems for industrial applications. The CD-ROM provides easy access to the Corzan CPVC engineering design manual, chemical resistance data and comparisons, product literature, customer case studies and web site links. Corzan CPVC products revolutionized the process industry more than 40 years ago, combining relatively low cost with superior mechanical properties, including high heat-distortion temperature, corrosion resistance, and dielectric, flame and smoke resistance. Ideal for a variety of industrial applications that require high temperatures or corrosive chemicals, the Corzan CPVC product line includes pipe and fittings, pumps, valves, strainers, tower packing and duct, as well as sheet for fabrication into tanks, duct and tank lining. The new CD-ROM features easy access to volumes of application-specific technical data, performance characteristics and mechanical-property information through the Corzan engineering design manual. Specific design data includes: dimensions; pressure ratings; fluid flow information; considerations for thermal expansion; physical characteristics, including tensile, flexural and compressive strength/modulus; notched Izod impact performance and specific heat properties; information on the proper spacing of supports; general installation information; and the thermal conductivity of the material. In addition to technical data, the CD-ROM also offers a link to general product information. This link includes access to product literature, which explains the economic benefits of installing high-performance Corzan CPVC over alternative materials. Chemical resistance data and comparisons provide engineers with guidance as to the suitability of Corzan industrial piping systems in corrosive applications. A link to case studies offers examples of how Corzan CPVC proved superior to other options in meeting specific customer application requirements. “Through the electronic library, we provide engineers with a fast, convenient way of specifying and designing with Corzan CPVC,” says Tina Massel, inside sales engineer. “The CD offers the complete scope of product information available, and combines it with easy access. Once engineers start using it, we’re confident that they will find this CD an indispensable tool.” For more information on the CD-ROM resource library from Corzan Industrial Systems or to request a copy, call 888-234-2436.
